Daniel F. Nguyen, CFA, CPA Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Nguyen is a distinguished leader in the investment management field, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer / Founder of Buena Vista Management LLC. Prior to launching Buena Vista Management LLC, Mr. Nguyen was a Partner and Global Chief Financial Officer at Ares Management LLC (NYSE: ARES), a leading global alternative asset manager. He joined Ares in 2000 and became CFO in 2002, where he was pivotal in developing the firm's investment infrastructure, facilitating growth from a small local alternative investment firm to a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2014. Throughout his tenure at Ares, Mr. Nguyen held multiple influential roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Ares Private Equity Group. He also served as Chief Financial Officer for various Ares entities, including Ares Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: ARCC) and Ares Dynamic Credit Allocation Fund (NYSE: ARDC), leading their successful IPOs. Mr. Nguyen began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP in the Business Assurance practice, laying a strong foundation for his future in finance. He holds an MBA in Global Business from Pepperdine University and graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California's Marshall Business School. Mr. Nguyen is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
